作者简介:巴尔扎克(1799—1850),法国作家,法国现实主义文学的主要代表。其代表作是一整套反映法国社会生活的长篇小说,统称《人间喜剧》,其中包括《欧也妮·葛朗台》《高老头》《幻灭》《贝姨》等,揭露金钱关系如何成为资本主义社会一切活动的动力,着重探究不同类型的人性。100多年来,他的作品传遍了全世界,对世界文学的发展和人类进步产生了巨大的影响。马克思、恩格斯称赞他“是超群的小说家”、“现实主义大师”。译者简介: 许钧,浙江龙游人。南京大学研究生院常务副院长,北京大学比较文学与比较文化中心兼职教授。全国法国文学研究会副会长,中国法语教学研究会副会长,南京翻译家协会会长等。1997年加入中国作家协会。2012年获中国“翻译事业特别贡献奖”。 著有专著《文学翻译批评研究》《文字·文学·文化——〈红与黑〉汉译研究》《翻译思考录》,译著有长篇小说《追忆似水年华》第四卷( [法]普鲁斯特著)、《名士风流》([法]德·波伏瓦著)、《诉讼笔录》([法]勒克莱齐奥…

本书是法国著名作家巴尔扎克的代表作之一,小说以十九世纪中叶法国巴黎上层社会生活为背景,以于洛男爵一家的命运为主线,描写了主人公贝姨在巴黎各时期度过的不同日子。形形色色的人物,错综复杂的情节,灵与肉、情与仇、善与恶之间惊心动魄的搏斗,折射了整个上流社会的道德腐败,构成了一幕淋漓尽致的人间悲喜剧,一部五光十色的风化史,一曲上流社会必然崩溃的无尽的挽歌。
